Automatic minifing of script inside Ext:TokenScript blocks

It would be great if Ext:TokenScript looked at the Ext:ScriptManager.ScriptMode flag and if ScriptMode is "Release" it minified (at runtime) any script that is inside the Ext:TokenScript block.

It modifies the urls it processes and some url-rewriting module in Coolite simply doesn't work after that.

It is very attractive feature for web applications. For ASP.Net applications it is easier to use coolite than extjs (or ext.ux.livegrid).With extjs we need to use javascript for creating controls and rendering t as there is no tag library support.

Grid Filters - null/empty values

The grid filters plugin is great, but there are scenarios where you want to filter where something is NULL/NOT NULL or EMPTY/NOT EMPTY.

It would be really great if there were options for these. Maybe on the column definitions in the grid you could add another parameter "Allow Null Values" then the grid filters could pick this up and show extra filter options?

Apologies if this is already implemented (couldn't see any examples).

It would be useful to have the ability to define a JavaScript handler for things like "onBeforeAjaxRequest", "onAjaxRequestSucceeded", "onAjaxRequestFailed" etc on the ext ScriptManager.

I see there are AjaxEvents for a given target or element, but I don't see how to set global handlers.

Example of what I mean:

For example, I have an application with a status bar. For every Coolite-based Ajax request, I'd like a global handler to fire before the ajax request is started so that I can add a little spinning icon in the status bar, and possibly some text, like "getting data..." etc. Then, when the request had eneded, I'd reset the status bar by calling a different JavaScript method.

This way, each developer doesn't have to remember to call these things manually from their own controls.

Resize combobox: handle in both sides

Hi

I have noticed that resizing a combo (if enabled) is a a bit tedious if the editor is placed at the last field in a datagrid - you're out of luck if try to resize the grid

A solution could to have an extra handle in the left/bottom side of the combo dropdown or you can drag the side of the window?
Hmm probably a bad idea for a numerous obvious reasons :)

Grouping Grid with one row for every group

Hi,

it´s a bit hard to explain what I want, but I will try it ...

With the current grouping grid, the data is grouped but the Paging of the PagingToolbar handles collapsed data NOT as one row.

E.g. I have paging with page size 25 and I have 3 Groups each with 100 rows.

If all groups are collapsed, then the grid does NOT show all 3 collapsed groups.
It only shows one collapsed group and I have to page 4 times until entry 101 to see the the next collapsed group.

The 2 screenshots describe my problem. I have one large group in group_on_first_page.png ("Abteilung: (keine)" which starts at the first page and then I have to page 9 pages on next_groups_at_9th_page.png until I see the next groups ("Abteilung: -", "Abteilung - bitte eingeben -", ...).

This makes IMHO the Group nearly unuseful, because when I collapse group I want to do it to see more data in my grid.
Otherwise it makes no sense to collapse it.

Or is there already a way to solve that problem?
I need it for Remote and Local Modes.

the enter key jumps like the tab key

In the gridpanel, the user like using the keypad to input quickly,so they wish: the enter key jumps like the tab key.

The property---"MoveEditorOnEnter",the focus jumps from one row to next row.
I wish:add a property,that the focus can jump horizontally,from one column to next column,like the tab key.
I think this propery is very important.

Is it possible to add a config option to do a POST when calling panel.loadContent()? I need to send a long csv string to the child page. I am able to do it outside of Coolite by just creating a temporary form, adding an input field, and posting the form to an iframe.

CheckBoxGroup and RadioButtonGroup DataBinding?

Curious, is there any support or future enhancements that might allow these two controls to allow data binding from a source? I know a store would be out of the question, since that is an extjs internal, but from a server side perspective this would be handy similar to the ASP.NET CheckBoxList controls.

TextField With Explanation/Description

Hi,

I once had created a wrapper custom asp.net control for ExtJS TextField with an explanation/description property.
This is so much helpful in scenarios where I don't want to use a combobox and want to load the explanation/description in an ajax event.

I still can do this with Coolite using the MultiField component with a TextField and Label control in it. But it would be nicer if it was a single control with corresponding SetDescription method or Description property and Css attributes for the description.

Radiobutton.Value is always true (if checked) or false (not checked). In classical html, a radiobutton may has any value.

In a RadioGroup, it's hard to determine which radiobutton is checked. If radiobutton has a value than it must be checked, if it's empty/null/unset then it must me unchecked. That's it.

I use value in radiobutton's ID as extension, ie: rbState0 for 0, rbState1 for 1 and rbState5 for 5... These are buttons in radigroup rgState.

To set right button in a group at once:

Can you please provide an alternative to dinamically bind/load the items of the CheckboxGroup.
It could be using Store or remotely using JSON like this:

Right-To-Left Support in Coolite

Hi,

Right-To-Left, RTL for short, is necessary for development in countries that speak or use right to left languages such Hebrew and Arabic. It is considered either a must or added-value when it comes to development of Data-Centric websites in that part of the world.

Is there any plan for the Coolite Toolkit to provide such support? For example, Layout controls, text boxes' labels, etc..

And if there is a way for the currently available version (v8.1) to support RTL either through HTML or CSS, I would be more than glad to be enlighted by you guys.

Add Coolite.Ext.Web.Fx

Can you move Fx objects to Coolite.Ext.Web.Fx namespace. It helps the special cases stay separate so 1. we're not overloaded with excess controls at the root namespace and 2. it helps group them so we know which ones are available for intellisense.

Obviously this request may extend beyond Fx objects, but that was a very obvious one for me.

Defer render hidden windows

Is it possible to defer render hidden windows (Showonload=false). I notice that having lots of hidden windows slow down the initial rendering of the page. I can say that each window adds 50-60ms to render time. I have a page that's pretty simple but has 6 hidden windows. It renders slower than a much more complex page without any hidden windows. Users have to click a button to show any of those windows. In most scenarios, an user may not even need those windows so they are just sitting there. By defer render, I mean sending the config down to the client but dont create the window object till window.show is called. Of course, the tricky part is how can you call window.show if window doesn't exist? Maybe we need a new object called windowConfig...? Just throwing an idea out there.

This looks more like a shortcoming of ASP.NET and having to create all the components on initial render vs creating them dynamically on button clicks. I guess dynamic control creation in v1.0 will fix this.

VIEWSTATE configuration independent

I´m using DotNetNuke with Coolite, but I have some issues.

I´m trying to optimize the Page Load time, because it take between 3 and 8 second to load a page (with two grids, 5 Stores, some Combos, etc.)
I saw that the ViewState is very large and I´m trying to persist it in the server using a feature provided by DNN framework that store the ViewState in Server Cache. (Page State Persistence set to Memory option)
The Coolite controls can be loaded, but any interaction fail.
I think that the fail is due to the coolite-core.js and other JS files are using a "direct" access to the VIEWSTATE hidden variable, but if the Persistence method is Data Cache, this variable exists, but without any value.

I´m requesting if you can eliminate this dependency in order to use the VIEWSTATE in server memory (to get a performance improvement)

Is it possible to have the access modifiers of all the Listeners classes (TextFieldListeners, BoxComponentListeners, etc changed from internal to public on the next release, and the Field.UniqueName changed from internal to protected?

I just finished building a new CoordinateField control for the entry of GPS coordinates and had to make those changes on my end in order to inherit from TextBaseField.

a numeric pager would be a great alternative to existing paging model.
Moreover, it would be greater! if in paging toolbar people have buttons prev, next and also number pages to navigate the grid.

Incorporating Saki's ExtJs extensions

This is just a wish. I have checked out Saki's ExtJs extensions (No doubt you know Saki, don't you) at:

I am beginning to use some of them in my Web apss. But again, writing so much JS directly is a pain. Would the Coolite core team look at adding Saki's extensions to the Coolite toolkit?
It is LGPL licensed I believe. Most of the extensions (rather all of them) are extremely useful in day-to-day work.

If that is not so, I would request a Button column for the GridPanel. I checked out that ExtJs does not support it directly. I know I can implement it using a renderer function on the column, but right now I am working on finer details on how to know which row button was clicked on the server-side. If I get it going, I would submit to you people so that others can use it also.

It would be nice to have it built-in in the toolkit itself.

Options of minimizing and clock in the ext:Desktop

Currently, the Grid.Command event exposes the command, record, and rowIndex. Is it possible to add an additional parameter for the actual item (menu, button, etc) clicked? For example, on an item click, I want to change the grid command icon.

Here's a sample use case:

1. Each grid row shows a project (name, description, status).

2. Status is a CommandColumn with a menu. The menu items are Mark Approved, Mark Complete, etc.

3. On menu item click, I want to change the icon of the grid command to reflect the new status.

If the Command event exposes the button clicked, I can get the iconCls of the button and set its' parent's parent's icon to it.

TriggerComboBox / ComboBox expanded style

It would be great if the Coolite.Ext.TriggerComboBox (or Ext.form.ComboBox) were extended to apply an additional style to the combobox_container while the combobox's dropdown (x-combo-list) is visible ... perhaps something like 'x-combo-open'?

This additional style on the combobox_container (not the x-combo-list) would allow for better styling of custom comboboxes.
